Presentation
Mathieu graduated with an Msc in Immunology from Pierre & Marie Curie University (now Sorbonne University) during which he performed internships at the Weizmann Institute (Rehovot, Israel) studying bone marrow transplantation and at Harvard Medical School (Boston, USA) working on tumor cell behavior. After a gap year at EMBL (European Molecular Biology Laboratories) (Heidelberg, Germany), he started in 2015 his PhD at Institut Pasteur (Paris, France) under the supervision of Dr. Han Li. During his PhD, he studied the impact of senescence on reprogramming process and induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) generation. He joined A. Miccio’s Lab in June 2020 and develop new gene therapy strategies for the treatment of β-hemoglobinopathies.
